Jennifer Aniston opened up about her relationship with Selena Gomez and the unexpected skill the social media maven has helped her with during a 'People' interview published August 9.
While the pair are now close friends, Gomez previously revealed that she was starstruck when she met Aniston for the first time.

As the most followed woman on Instagram with 418 million followers and counting, Gomez knows a little something about social media—and Aniston is happy to give the Only Murders in the Building actress her flowers. When asked what she'd learned from the Rare founder, whom she met many years ago in a bathroom, the star shared, "Selena helps me lean into social media.' She also confirmed that the longtime friends are as tight as ever, adding, 'And she's just an angel that I love to spend time with."
The A-listers, who both share the same manager Aleen Keshishian, apparently met in a bathroom over a decade ago when a 'starstruck' Gomez says 'nobody knew who I was.' Subbing in as a host on Ellen DeGeneres's daytime talk show back in 2020, Gomez reminded Aniston about their change meeting.
'You were in the bathroom wearing a black dress,' she said, calling the exchange 'everything that I wanted.' Gomez explained, 'I walked into the bathroom and I saw you and you were just so nice. You just walked out of the bathroom, you were going back, and my heart stopped and I freaked out and I ran to my mom and I was like, 'Oh my God, I just saw Jennifer Aniston.'' While Aniston didn't appear to remember their first meeting, she opened up about their close friendship, sharing, 'We've known each other for years. You've been to my house, we've had pizza.'
Aniston also opened up about her enduring friendship with former Friends alum Cox during her People interview, although she admitted she's less likely to tap her ex co-star for beauty takes than for another topic they love to geek over. 'We usually talk interior design," Aniston admitted, adding, "It kind of bores people to tears when we get into a room together. But it's what we love. It's our love language."
